Jordan, located in the Middle East, is officially known as the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and it is a small country. Jordan is a member of the World Trade Organization and it signed an Associate Agreement with the European Union in 2001. The economy of Jordan is largely dependant on the services sector. Jordan's two main minerals, also its chief exports, are potash and phosphates. Other lesser quantities of resources include copper ore, gypsum, manganese ore, unrefined salt and the mineral precursors to the production of ceramics (glass sand, clays and feldspar).
